new coilovers, guard scrubbing

hey all.
just purchased a set of the BC BR coilovers and fitted them.
only problem is now pulling into my driveway with the dampening on 20 all round, i catch the front left guard with the tire just a little.
i assume its the same on the right side with likewise driveways.
it is only under load, and if i pump up the dampening to 30 its stiff enough to support the car and dosent scrub.

so my main question is does anyone know anybody who lips/rolls guards etc.
i would prefer not to drive around on 30 dampening for long so if so please pm me asap.

cheers guys.
chris

Try winding the bottom cup down a bit ( raise the ride height )

yeah i was hoping to not have to do that since the height is perfect for looks at the moment.
might have to though if i cant find a better fix.

if it ain't happening between 10 points of dampering force. then even raising it only 2mm should solce your problem. and keep the look that your require.

I agree, cant be much in it if altering the damping is restricting compression enough not to cause the problem-Im guessing you have some biggish offset rims? Whats your ride height (chasis rail to ground or center of wheels to under guards).

front left - 290
front right - 290
rear left - 295
rear right - 295
that is center of wheel to guard.

wheels are 15x8 +25

ill pop it up 5 mm all round tomorrow and then lower the dampening and see how that ends up.
but ultimately whilst tracking i will want it as low as possible without scrub, so guard rolling will need to get done eventually im assuming.

No you don't :!:

The lower control arm should not pass the horizontal line when you lower the NA. There is plenty of information on this if you do a search.

Also remember to do an alignment after the height has been set.

yup, what CB said. everytime you have your wheels aligned, they do it based on the height it currently sits at.
