They'll fit, slight chance of rubbing on tight corners if your car is lowered.

Your speedo will be out with these wheels- wouldnt matter if you plan to only use them on the tracks.

But from memory those 6 spoke Enkei are not that light.... Evo's got plenty of grunt but the NC doesnt....

They might be 17x8 not 7.5...Shouldn't make much difference.. What about the offset. I think the EVO rims might be plus 10mm. Is there a danger that they may hit the suspension.

At that offset I'd be worried about the guards, I'm pretty sure +10 x8 will give more or similar inside clearance compared to the stock rim.

Will a 235x45x17 with a +10 offset hit?

YES

I'm running 16x8 with a 50 offset and when fitted with 225x50 R-Specs they just clipped the rear guards, so I did a little rolling to fix the problem. The 225x50x16s are the same O/A diameter as the stock 17" & tyre. The Evo 235x45 is 88mm larger in diameter and the outside of the tyre will be 59mm further out with a +10 offset!!!

I'm not sure what price the EVO's are going for but clearance issues aside I'd steer clear of them for three reasons. Rolling diameter weight and tyres. R1R's are a high performance road tyre not an R-Spec.

Why not do what I did? Buy some 16x8 RX-7 Series 3 wheels (Sailor has a bunch of them; maybe he’ll part with 4 or tell you where to get some). I paid $300 for 4 rims. Then you head off to Gary’s Motor Sport after a Commodore Cup race and get some second hand Dunlop D01s for $50 per tyre. All up $500 for a light weight set of track wheels.

Arent the standard wheels on an NC something like +60's?? If so, i think +10's would be way too wide.

i have some 16x6.5 Mazda NC Wheels.I bought them to put track day tyres on but I was reconsidering because they are only 6.5 wide. I guess the biggest tyre you could put on them would be 205, that seems a bit narrow...My other option is to drive around the streets on the 16x16.5 and put some 215/45/17's on my 10 spoke original wheels.. Are you talking the Evo rims or RX-7 rims?

You can run up to a 235x40x17 road tyre, on a 8" rim with the correct offset before guard hitting becomes a problem.
The standard NC offset is 55mm. Most aftermarket 8" rims have a max. 48mm offset.

Remember, the bigger the tyre the slower the accelleration. So if youré doing a bigger rim/tyre combo for show, fine. Performance wise you'll be heading backwards.

I've been after those RX7 wheels for ages!!!! I've had to settle for some 17 inch light weight wheels.......
