Lowering my na6

I've been stumbling around the forum lately and shall be picking up some lowered springs for my mx5. It's running completely stock setup with 14x6.5 RS Watanabe f8 wheels. I want to lose the gap between the top of my tyre and button of my wheel arches and also stiffen up the ride a little.
So anyway, these springs are lowered about 1.5" as far as I know. Regarding installation, will I be fine putting these in my car with the stock shocks and dampers?
To my knowledge with the research I've done, they are a set of Intrax. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure they are these http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/INT451007.htm
I figure for the price I can't go wrong, but I'm curious if I can put them in with the stock setup and if anyone has had them before. I'm not sure what the ride quality is like with them, I'll ask when I pick them up etc...
The next question is, assuming I will need new shockers, bumpstops etc to accomodate the travel of the lowered springs... What is the cheapest route with the best ride quality ie: bang for buck. I'm a student not a millionair so please don't guilt trip me on how you can't cut corners and you get what you pay for etc... I'm not made of money!!!!
Any feedback is good feedback! So far I'm not aiming for track performance or anything, it's a pretty stock na6 with blacked out rims and I just want to drop it a little, get the exhaust done and give it more of an aggressive note and gain a little more throttle response as well as hopefully stiffen up the car. Keeping it simple! Anyway it's 3am and I gotta get some sleep before I pass out.. It's been a long day
