What are good places to buy lightweight black wheels for NC?

Postby gundam » Sat Mar 13, 2010 1:13 am

Been looking for some lightweight 17s for a while (i.e. lighter than the stock), and struggling to find decent wheels.

Had been thinking about Enkei RPF1, until I gave up on my quest to find them in black.

Any suggestions as to where I can find some in Sydney?

If you are still looking:
Advan Racing RZ 17X7.5 10 spoke Gun Metallic Rims
But not cheap (in Perth at least)

+1, perfect for an NC

Now if only they made them in a 16", they'd be perfect for my SE (I refuse to put 15s on it for the street, too much sidewall on an NB IMHO).

This man, had good taste in wheels.

If you want light, look at CE28's, 17x7.5 should be no more than 5.8kg, that's lighter than some 15's.

Enkei's are about 6.5-7kg.

6ULR is 8kg<-- but it is a 9" wide wheel.

Hi Gundam,
I do not know who carries black 17" RPF1s in Australia but Brian of Goodwin Racing in the U.S. does -> clicky.

6ULRs are good and Advan RZ wheels are also very nice as Barrie aka lmx5b mentions above. However, he is a little biased.

You can also try Tempe Tyres.
He brings in a number of lightweight wheels, as well as heavy chromies, and also brings in Lenso wheels.

IMHO, they have about the biggest range of wheels on offer anywhere!

Thanks all for the replies.

Loved the look of the 6ULR, although as philz pointed out it's a 9"- bit wide wheel for street & stock tires... Still 18lbs is very impressive for a wheel that size.

By comparsion the lightest 17 5studs that I could find at Tempe is the Lenso DC-6, 17.5lbs but only 7 inch wide....

Lokiel- have at look at the lenso S-2 @ Tempe. The 17x7 is only 15.5lbs (7kg), 16s would probably be around 14lbs. Cheap too, pity only in 4 stud patterns...

Mania's black NB runs on them as well.

Will have a look at Goodwin. Hopefully the shipping cost wont take out the savings from the strong AUD.

The crowd i got mine from are an Ebay shop, AutoTechnik Tuning. I got mine for around $1700 and I contacted them just then to try and help out Gundam and they are saying they are now closer to $1600.

The website on Ebay should be http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Autotechnik-Tuning__W0QQ_armrsZ1

otherwise their direct email is:

sales@autotechnik.com.au
