BC Coilover height clearance issues.

I have the flyin miata butterfly brace, and combined with the BC coilovers (type BR) I have around 78-80mm ground clearance. Even without the butterfly brace it may well not be reaching the legal 100mm. The centremost part of the brace at the rear of the car is the lowest. I've wound the rear coilovers to the highest acceptable limit (they specify to leave 25mm of thread inside the lower section of the coilover) and have acheived a height of 322mm, while the fronts are currently at 324. I found this peculiar as most MX5 setups have higher rear ends, but I dont really want to drop my front end down to achieve it.
I haven't unwound the top 2 collars at all thus far, so the preload is still as it was out of the box. Winding these down would increase height correct?
I'm interested to know what heights other people using BC's or similar setups (Tein SS perhaps) have? I read that fat cat motorsports recommend 13" at the front and 13.5" with their setup, and was thinking of aiming for that, but now i'm wondering whether it's even plausible.
Other than that the car is transformed and turns tight and flat in corners now, loving it, but afraid the popo are going to throw the book at me.
