I have done a search for this but still need some advice.
want to lower my stock NB8a
read that na shocks and springs are shorter (na6 or na8?)
I understand this may not be a good idea!
will they fit and has anybody tried this?

NA springs wont fit on NB shocks. One end of the spring is finished differently so they don't fit on the spring seat correctly. Using NA springs AND NA shocks on your NB will fit but they will give you less suspension travel and springs that are to soft for the weight of the car and your damping will be less than optimal. If you want to go lower then better to get something designed specifically for your car and do it properly.
