through the fire wall. there should be some wires going into the cabin anyway so I would just use the same hole.
here is a little info.
http://www.clubroadster.net/forum/viewt ... light=edfclike they say make sure you tape the wires to an old coat hanger to make it easy to push through and find the wires again. sorry no pics mate.

Thanks 16bit,
On the left side of the firewall there is a loom that goes through, there is a nipple (99MXV titters) which is where the bonnet release runs through on the drivers side, I cut that off and threaded some light weight weed whacking line through it, hooked it out on the cabin side with a coat hanger.
ample use of some lecco tape and a bit of space between both bits of wire and then pulled it all back into the engine bay.
The tip about the gaping hole behind the drivers seat is soooooooo true.
Took about 5 minutes to do the rear, just threaded a whack of line through the hole into the boot, fished it out, more lecco tape and pull it back the other way.
Presto, the difficult bits are done.
A bit more tinkering tomorrow night and it should be done.

So when do I get a test drive?
Glad you got it sorted I could have taken some pics of my setup. I'll be interested to see where you decide to stick the control unit.

Wiring is in and the motors are on.
A quick bodgy wire up and Whirrrrrrrrrr,
set the three memories up to super soft, half, and full hard.
Whirr, Whiirrrrrrrrr, whir, whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, whirrrrrrr, then left them on half and pulled bits of it apart till it all gets wired in all neat and proper.
Beer Time . . .
I've even scored a spare console with not broken bits (Thanks CT), so after it all gets scrubbed up and put back in, the car will be back together
fully for the first time in three years.

As suspected the motors wound all the way down, we forgot that unscrewing the ratchet bit also unscrews the bit underneath, it all makes sense now . . . (kinda)
Should be able to whip yours and Unicorns in, in enough time to be done before the first batch of wingszzz finish
bugger about the crash.

All Done,
Even got the console as well as the boot lining back in, didn't know myself climbing in, there's a big chunk of plastic for your left arm now.
Only one last thing to do and were sorted for another 100K.
Took the bodgy way out and put the EDFC controller in the cubby hole thing, luckily I have a spare if I change my mind.

Yep, new modern technology called "Phillips Head Screwdriver" was used to perform a "cupholderectomy" and "lidlockerworkerology".
Further use of this magic tool resulted in a "consoleinthecarinstallcantbelieveitstrueectomy"

bah, anyone can go faster by reducing weight. The REAL challenge is in going faster but adding weight!

I'd love to add one of those heavy turbos and that self indulgent weight of intercooling the charge
