Clunking from front suspension

I am getting a clunking sound from my front suspension, most often as i turn the wheel full lock to exit my carport, again when i brake to ease down the curb and sometimes when i stop at the lights.
This didn't start till just after grump and i fitted the braces we made up.
I am hoping it is just shot bushings giving the control arms room to moving in... not that this is a good thing but... could it be anything else major?
cheers

mine used to clunk when coming to a stop at the lights. turned out to be a loose lower control arm bolt.
previous alignment was performed by mob very highly regarded on this forum.

Same experience for me, got some dodgy alignment done and my next service found a loose bolt in the front... symptom was a loud clunk under hard cornering.
Take it to someone that knows the front end of an MX5 and have them check it.

i had the same noise. i just got under there and tightened up everything that i could, mainly the control arm bolts ( LCA bolts worked their way a little bit loose after i replaced it) and it's fine now.

mine has started doing this since i slammed my car, however i have read that the endlinks tend to flex once your at my height and causes noises like this ... i still need to get some adjustable endlinks to avoid unwanted preload.

On mine, it was a lower ball joint.
