my car got a booboo. only took a quick look when i was swapping to space saver (smaller rolling diameter, got me home!) but it looks very straightforward.
i'm talking right hand side front lower control arm.
shed some proverbial light? i guess i've got the things i need: trolley jack, socket wrench, sockets and time.
please help!

As long as the bolts aren't seized it should be easy enough.

Easy, it's just nuts and bolts.

but as okibi said, if it's not seized it will be fine.

If the long bolt is bent, you'll be happily be banging it out for a good 1-2hrs.

Oh and wd40 plus a hammer is your friend.

And a breaker bar for the tighter bolts.

Last week I had an upper arm bolt that just didn't want to move, I thought it was going to snap the breaker bar, just be patient, pray a little and swear a lot.

Just for show, this is what I had to go through, long bolt on the lower control arm- rear.

Banging with a 3 pound sledge hammer, 1/4 can of wd40, and twisting the bolt out with a 40cm breaker bar.

well, that sucks. sounds like i got off reasonably easy.
did find that i bent the sway bar linkage and shock absorber a fair bit, as well as blowing out the shocker.
so i now need a linkage, the little (100mm long) connector with perpendicular bolt hole with bushes on either end.
anyone wanna mail me one to save me a drive back to melbourne? pm me please!

You were lucky! I've had to cut one in half with a dremel, melt the bushes with a burner and they still didn't want to come out. Took about 4hrs that day.....what a PITA!

pm Tbro, he just did bushes on scooter one night last week. It also helps that he is a mechanic.
