I'm slowly doing up my new ride, I just spent the weekend doing a bunch of rim repairs and painting, after reading some great posts here, and now it's time to look out for some rubber.
I'm hopeful of some decent improvement in handling. The poor little car has Kumho 769 185/60/14 on it at the moment, which are just horrible. They squeal more than a pig in sh*t, and make the car feel quite saggy.
Can anyone give me some options? Brands/Sizes.
I'm looking for a really good street tyre, that might see the odd thrashing/track day.
The car is a daily driver, so good traction and overall street manners are a factor. Longevity isn't really a huge concern but I'm not keen on less than 10k either.
Any advice on northern Brisbane suppliers and fitters would be great too.

As you've probebly read I'm very happy with my Bridgestone Adrenalin Re001's, they seem like a great tyre, a good price is between $105 and $121... Make sure you shop around as they can be as expensive as $145. The problem is that they are made in Australia, and despite assurances from Bridgestone quality is still questionable... Read what people have said & make up your own mind on that.

Other options include the Yokohama C drive which is quite highly rated, although at Winton it seemed a lot of people were complaining about there performance in the really hot (40+ deg) weather. A great all rounder tyre, although more expensive than the bridgestone. If you can find them the Kuhmo KU31 seems quite well regarded, but i couldn't find any...

There are probebly a few more options, but the tyre choice in performance 185/60/14 isn't huge.
