Do NB braces fit NA's and why do most braces have 'pivot' points instead of being fixed

NB fits NA, and vice versa.

I'm not sure why they do that pivot thing, but I would assume it's to cut cost down.

Pivot is a good place to remove the strut brace from (temporarily, like engine work) as the top strut bolts are known to break if you apply too much force.
