Well the time is getting near, time to junk the pedders (totally sh*t springs) and upgrade.
At present it is running Pedders and stander shocks.
I have thought about switching to Tiens. Can anyone advise what they have put under their cars and the results. My Car runs 17 inch rims 45 series rubber.
The ride at present is awful, I have dríven a friends SP with Tiens and thought it was pretty damn good;
So what price would they go for, who has them and how many $$ should they cost?
Not really interested in Kings and Koni's so dont even go there....

SP suspension upgrade
Tein SS's on mine - I bought at sale time, so got them for just over $1600, but expect to pay mid $1800's, plus fitting of about $300 incl alignment. Very happy with them, but really would like to get the EDFC system to adjust their settings from the driver seat.
SPy vs SPy has recently fitted them to his SP and also seems very happy with the Teins. Word on the street is that you should get slightly stiffer front springs for the SP due to the added weight of the turbo system on the front of the car... Not sure if SPy has done that yet, but he was planning it. Maybe PM him for further details unless he chimes in here.

Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.

Take it from someone who has gone the hard road . . . .
Go directly to a Fulcrum dealer, order a set of SS or if you really want a set of Flex's.
Pro's
Affordable
Great
Adjustable
Con's
cost a bit more than Koni's/Kings or Koni/Eibach (The better package) <<< ride height is either out of the box or what a very knowledgeable suspension guru will get you (read more $$$'s)
none, see above.
Organise a dodgy day, by the time the first set of sausages are burnt the rears should be done, allow about 2-3 hours for the fronts, only cause there's a few more things to unbolt to get to them.
I can do the whole car in about 4 hours on my own, taking my own sweet time to recheck everything is bolted back on and tight.
Wheel alignment the next day and all is good.
Point of note, always wind the Teins to full hard and then back to where you want them (It's in the manual) I run 10 all around on a daily drive, resist the urge to try +/- front rear too, the BOV effect only gets the car see-sawing through corners, which isn't pleasant.
per NMX516/8's comments the SP swings about 60 extra Kg's over the nose, something a non adjustable package will have issues with.
per widdle itsy bitsy Unicorns comments, what did he say again

Went for a drive and there were slow cars everywhere, why are NC's so common . . . must be NC = Normally Cardiganed.

A few of us have the PSS9 Bilsteins (now superseded by PSS10 it seems). They cost a lot at the time (Aussie distributor is a monopoly) but in the US they seem to be available at similar prices to the top notch teins. I am more than happy with them, good ride and lap times, can't complain.
