Can someone give me some insight on these shocks. Thanks to grump io have found a supplier who is selling them for 240 plus delivery. The adjustables have been discontinued, i am quite happy to go for the non adjustables as i dont require that aspect, however i just wanted to know what they are like on the road. Keeping in mind i am stepping up from 170,000k old OEM shocks.

would probably be an OEM replacement, wouldnt be anything special about them. the adjustables were pretty good, but too soft for my liking, even my teins are a little too soft.

Really i just want a better ride, something that will go with kings regardless of what anyone thinks about them.
At the moment i find i get a few hardknocks and i want something a little softer with slightly improved handling.
Would the kyb be equivalent to the oem?

i have heard that koni yellows and kings go well together, some trackers in america use them (same deal over here.)
you will need to find out what spring rates the spring rates that you want are, and what shock you would like to get can handle. Otherwise if you dont end up matching them you will have a shitty ride and a chance of the shock busting alot quicker.

crzymx, I'm putting my kyb agx and king springs in tomorrow, I'll message you and let you know what i think. kyb and kings are a very common combination, and lets face it if you can get a set of kyb for under $300 and a set of kings for$300 you have a very cheap setup ,and its new.

but he is not intending on purchase of the AGX's, thus spring rate tolerances could be different on the shock that he wants.
do you know the model number of what shock you want ?

They discontinued the agx from that supplier grump. Just the basic kyb should be ok.

got my king springs through MX5 Mania, they sell ship loads, and know what springs are best with what shocks, e.t.c. .Give them a call and see what they say.

The non-agx KYB's are rubbish. I had them on my NA for a while. They were softer and more rolly polly than my worn out stock shocks. The AGX's were a huge improvement and solved all my suspension problems.
