Try Falken.

I needed 195/45 R15 on my other car and Falken were one of a few that had them.

That's a very thin tyre by the way, any reason why you are after that particular size?

If you are looking for RT615 it is not avail in that size here in Australia.

If you are looking for seroius street prformance.

Federal 595 RS. which is avail in that size.

check out Hannok they have a equivalent to the RT615 & the 595RS which does come in the 16 \" size.

or 195/50, or 205/50 or, or.... :P
STM the reason for the :? face is I know how rare 45 series tyres and hence how much more expensive they are.

Oh, and Sava makes them in unusual sizes too eeden.

1red5, he said 16\" though. 195 or 205/50 would be for R15.

Standard 16\" for MX5 is 205/45 R16. 8)

It's a bit narrow, most 205/45-16 tyres sit flush with the edge of the rim, a narrower tyre would look a bit silly and expose your rims more...

Ohh. Sorry to hijack the thread but, I got some 15x6.5 rims and got some 195/50/15 tyres with it. Would that effect handling in any way?

Hrmz perfect indeed 195 should weigh less.
And its unsprung weight.
And its the outer edge of rotating mass!
Should go for the 40 profile less weight again.

Is it 'safe' to put diffrent width rubber on our OEM 16\" wheels? Can we squeeze 185 at the front and 215 at the back?
