Konis fitted

I ordered a set of Koni coilovers from the States about 4 weeks ago and they finally arrived on Friday. One hiccup along the way..........first time I have ever been stung for duty on anything I have bought from the states. Added and extra 300 smackers to the bottom line......oh well it's only money.
Sunday was the day and after a sleep in I hit the shed about 11am. Only ran into two snags.
The first was seperating the top hat from the originals so they could be re-used. I used a method that would have made Workcover shudder...but I thought it was safe .
The second was seperating the lower ball joint on the front. Stuffed around for ages until finally the old Holden lowering days came back to me. Gave the steering knuckle a few hits in the RIGHT spot and there was no stopping from there .
By 4pm I was sitting back admiring the new stance downing a well earned ale (which turned into half a d fairly quickly). Might as well have a beer as the battery was flat so couldn't test dive her anyway.
Didn't have time to pull her out tonight so tomorrow arvo will be test time and wheel alignment on Wednesday. The real test will be on Saturday
