I've just had front and rear Whiteline swaybars installed on my NC. So happy with the result!

I now want to lower the car by approximately 30mm, and have decided I won't go coilovers; springs should be fine. I guess I'm only really considering Eibach's and King springs at this stage. Can anyone comment on the differences between them? I'm mainly after the look (drop in height), handling bonuses come in second. Because of that, I would prefer the more road compliant of the two, i.e. less harsh ride. Thoughts?

I would get something that is matched to your factory shocks. Go to a specialist suspension place and ask them what would suit. If nothing is available I think it is worth getting some custom made.

My Eibach Pro-Kit springs arrived from the states today.

A fair few people have had excellent results using them. I can't wait to get them installed!!

I'll eventually purchase the Eibach swaybar kit which should complement the springs well!

Agreed man, I'd really appreciate a quick review posting if you wouldn't mind after you've given them a bit of a test. It would me a lot.

Looks like i won't be getting them installed for aleast another few weeks as i'll be placing an order for the eibach sways.

I was just quoted it would cost my local shop $620 to get the springs delivered, $99 wheels alignment, $400 installation. ==> $1128 total.

Shop around mate, unless you can't be bothered.

Or just purchase them from eBay US like me for around $300 delivered.

So can you supply some details about who the Ebay seller is, I'll try to track some down too. Also, can you confirm what the box says about how much the car is lowered by. The US sites I've been perusing all say the 2007 Mx5 Pro kit drops by 1.5" at front and 1.3" at rear. That seem right? 1.5" is more than i was led to believe the Aussie pro-kit drops by

I've never heard of an aussie pro-kit?? Just go by what it say on the US site.

site says 1.5" F and 1.3" at rear. Meant to be not as harsh as Teins with stock shocks and better quality than Kings, so I will give it ago. Thanks for your help. I will let you know how it goes.

FWI,
Kings have the same rates as Eibach/Mazdaspeed.
Height drop is the same.
Cost is far less.
Almost 60,000 klms later, nothing wrong with the quality of mine.
As for performance with the standard shocks, with this much lowering you will hit the rear bump stops with a loaded boot no matter which spring you choose.

Hi Andrew...have you got the springs fitted as yet? I'm just wondering what sort of ground clearance you'd get. The NC is meant to have 118mm stock clearance. If the front is lowered 1.5" (approx 38mm), wont that be under the 100mm legal requirment....or maybe its not that b/w?

Sorry mate I haven’t had them installed yet – won’t be for another 2-3 weeks as I’m ordering the eibach sways bars from the US and will get them installed at the same time.

I've had no success in contacting that Ebay shop for some reason!? Two emails and no response. Can you send me here (or PM their direct email address, I might email from work as another try)

Surprisingly I received an email from them this morning relating to the sway bars.
