NA6 too low for wheel alignment?

hey guys i booked in to get some new tires fitted and a wheel alignment
i took it there first thing this morning. went inside with the keys. he took one look at the car and said it cant be done. he couldnt get it up the ramp, which didnt look to inclined to me and i drive the car. so he is fitting the tires as they are done on a hoist.
he then told me that another Bob Jane further up the road do it over a pit. so my best chances are there. ive called the guy now and he said it depends how low the car is because if a beam of light cant reach the other side it cant be measured
so im going to take the car to the other place to see if they have any issues with it.
has anyone had an issue with this?
im after a full alignment. i want it set up properly as it looks out to my eye. the caster toe and camber are all visually out.
or does anyone know of a place in melbourne who can do this properly?
