16\" wheels for NC

Hi all,
I'm sick of melting my road tyres on the track so I was looking to buy some dedicated track wheels. I'm thinking 16\" because I hear the NC prefers that and will make everything a bit easier on the wallet.
What are the stats for 16\" wheels and tyres to fit the NC? Any suggestions on particular wheels? I don't really care about looks so I'm tempted to buy some rubbish used wheels off ebay and destroy whatever rubber they have on them before putting slicks on.
Thanks,
Huw

I'm using a set of these from the Japanese & US povo pack version. I bought them from MX-5 Plus and they had the original povo Yokohama Advans. Great for track days. I'll get better rubber when the Advans are worn away.

I'm running 16\" x 8\"s from a Mazda RX-7 Series 6.
The offset is close to the NCs and it allows you to run some serious R-Spec rubber, 225 x 50, while maintaining the same circumference as the 17†road tyre.
Weight wise the combination is under a kilo heavier than my OEM rims with 215 T1-R tyres.
And the best part is that the rims are relatively cheap. The four only set me back $300 from E-bay.

And they are pretty light too at 6.3 KG

Are these the 16\"s as used on the
Mazda Roadster NR-A version? This would mean more legitimacy at the track, you see:
\"yes, these are the same wheels as used on the production spec JDM NR-A track version of the Roadster\"
Newb question - NC's are 5 x 115 stud?
What is standard offset (need a starting point!). I'm looking for decent offset 16's or 17s for track work also.

See photos in the second post. Those are the wheels shown on the white MX-5 above.

Stud spacing is 114.3 x 5.
To run in the 2B Class (modified road registered) at either Club events or Supersprints you are allowed to run rims that are within 1†of the OEM equipment. ie. OEM is 17x7 so you can run any rim between a 16x6 to a 17x8.
