brake pedal height adjustment

I want to move the pedal closer, and I tried doing it the \"normal\" way from the interior by:
- undo brake-light switch and wind it out
- remove pin securing pushrod bracket onto brake pedal

but the problem is the bracket where the brake-light switch sits will only allow the brake pedal to move 3mm closer to the driver.

You will understand what I mean if you pop your head under the dash.

So does anyone know of a trick to move the brake pedal closer?

An alternative might be to fit a thicker foot pad (if such an animal exists) to the pedal.

What matters is the relationship between brake and accelerator pedals. The accelerator pedal is bendable. Not wise to bend the brake one.

Yeah I thought of that too JBT.
It's only for the benefit of heel-toeing.
I'll have to figure something out to attach to the pedal for next track day.

Why don't you lower the accelerator pedal instead?

Thought about that too.
I'll pop me head under the dash again.
There is a large adjustable bolt that acts as a stopper, if I wind this down:
- accel pedal sits farther away
- accel cable gets tauter
- adjusting accel cable slack is easy

only problem will be the amount of pedal movement and throttle butterfly opening at full open throttle.

I'll have a fiddle and see how it goes. Thanks.

And Tez, I have a headache so no glib comebacks for you tonight except a stern, "No"
