Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you guys have experience with these for road daily use?
http://www.federaltyres.com.au/ss595rsI've also heard good things about the lower spec 595 tyre. They are only $140 odd for a 205/40/17.

I rang up a local dealer (as per the federal website) and for a 205/40-17 it was:
595 $160
595RS $215

in terms of the 595RS (semi-slick) the local Qld dealer advises they only do 17\" & 18\" tyres until at least may/june when they may bring in 15\".

yeah because 215 for 17 inch semis is cheap. should be very resonable for those of us with proper sized rims

Well..... 595RS's certainly have come down in price. Mid 2006 i was quoted $290 for the 16 in size.
I ended up going back to the 15" size & settled with RT615's.

Thanks for the info guys, too bad the RS are not available in 15s, I'll ring around locally and see if I get a different story.

Just thought I'd give this thread a bump in case someone has tried these.
I'm seriously considering these since the RT615s don't come in 205/45R16.
Anyone tried the 595RS-Rs? Apparently they have reinforced sidewalls and treadwear rating dropped from 180 down to 140.

No 205/45/16??? Bugger. I was eyeing these off for my next tyre set. I have these on my 14" and while they were good on the track they had alot of roll and my car rides much better now on 16" Yoko S-Drives. I'm sure the RT615's in 16" would be excellent though.

I just got a quote for the 595RS.
205/50/R15 was $205/corner. Thats pretty damn good. Looks like they have updated their sizes.
Does anyone have any feedback for these? It seems like very good value for a semi slick.
