weight v offset

I'm currently looking at upgrading tyres and changing wheels. My current wheels are 15\" x7\" that weigh around 9 kg with an offset of 38. The ones I'm looking at are 6\" and weigh 5 kg with a 35 offset. I know incorrect offset becomes more noticable when weight increases, but in this case I'll be decreasing the weight so maybe it will balance out as far as drivability is concerned. (I will be putting 195x50's on whichever I use). Any views on whether weight or offset is more likely to do more damage to the suspension bushes or is it not a consideration?
Has anyone using 35 offset noticed any handling changes?
Thanks guys..at least my tyre choice is easy after reading discussions here.

with the 35mm offset you'll barely notice the difference......however with the wight reduced to almost half you will notice a massive difference for the better

Hope this is not hijacking too much, but, on average, how much do tyres weigh?

Good question 1red5. I have been trying to get a response from Bridgestone to no avail re the adrenalin's weight. Yokohama replied that the c drive in 195/50/15 is 8.1 kg's which is quite light. I wanted to buy the lightest of the two.

around 10KG mark for 205/40/17.
Back to offset, I think +30 ish is perfect for 7\" wide or wider rims.

Trader: I found a seller in the US with quite a few very light wheels and very reasonable prices. Should I PM you just for interest sake?

Here's a good chart for Falken tyres weight & specs

AZENIS RT-615
http://www.falkentire.com/rt615_sizes.html

FK 452
http://www.falkentire.com/fk452_sizes.html

RT 615 205/50/15 (20.8 pounds) is actually slightly heavier than 205/40/17 (19.4pounds) :?
