I *love* my T1-Rs but i'm going to need new tyres in a weeks time.

From what I've heard, RE001's are really great, but don't take my word for it cos I haven't tried them at all, but I do plan to get some once I finish off my current Goodyear F1 GSD3.

As an update to my earlier post.....

I am still very happy with the 195/50-15 RE001 Adrenalin tyres.

My enduring impressions are.
The T1R is still a grippier tyre, whilst these are on the back, I do notice that they grip better than the RE001, but I also notice that the RE001 is stiffer by a small amount.

The difference in the grip is mainly noticeable in the wet. The T1R keeps on gripping when the RE001 starts to push a little. In the dry the difference could come down to tyre pressures, it is that small.

All said and done, I will probably buy RE001 next time I replace tyres as they are the best part of $40 a rim cheaper. This is assuming that the RE001 wear as well I want. They appear to be a VERY soft tread when compared with the Toyo.

Given Adam's advice it was hard to choose exactly which tyre to get.

I decided to fork out for another set of Toyo T1-Rs (195/50/15s) because I have been extremely happy with them.

Whilst I have not had the Toyo's I just bought the adrenalins. Not lots of K's yet but feel GREAT so far. The car has gone from quite a wheel spinner (yes admittely I have a few horsies under foot) to much more grip and go. It was wearing dunlop direzza's previously.

For those in sydney I got them from the Bridgestone Tyre centre in Artarmon in 205 45 16 for $190 a corner after nrma discount of $5.00 a tyre and before wheel alignment cost - no misprint!

Beware as other non-bridgestone tyre places (within spitting distance of the one I went to) wanted to consistently charge 235 -238 a corner. Clearly distributor mark up!!

Weird .. my T1-Rs were $20 cheaper each.

T1-Rs are feeling a bit squishy this time around, I'll see what PSI the tyre shop has set them at. I haven't wanted to push them until they're scrubbed in.

I went to the Bridgestone site and their sizes chart didn't have 14\" listed. Any other suggestions for 14's??

I'm not intending to do any track days any time soon, most of my kms come from driving to Bright with a car full of paraglider and camping gear. I do of course go via some of the more interesting roads, black spur, sometimes via the mansfield - king valley road, then a lot of straight boring stuff.

I used to have Yokohama 539's then when the last set wore out I found out they didn't make em anymore. The current tyres are ziax or some such and have worn out as quick as the 539s but have never been overly impressive.

First choice Bridgestone GIII, second choice Yokohama C-Drive. Both around $125. Both good street tyres and up to a bit of track. Soft, quiet and grippy wet and dry. Best size 185/60R14.

Just another thought on the Adrenalins now a few k's have been covered. Apparently they must be easier to balance. My 65mph shimmy is gone
