It's dead easy - just don't over tighten the nuts at the top of the shocks 'cos they snap off fairly easily (don't ask how I know
).

Thanks Mr.Q
may sound like a stupid question but if i undo the 2 bolts above the shock will the shock shoot through?.. so there is no danger in me undoing those bolts?.. just thought id ask..
so basically i un-do the 2 bolts on either side..
put it under the bolts and tighten them (not too much
)
Cheers

That is all you need to do.
It is quite safe!

No danger at all. I've even drĂven around without those 4 nuts on - though I wouldn't recommend it.

Ya.
Very easy to do. Mazda quoted me $180 (no, I haven't accidently added a digit) to replace the top. $10 from MX5Plus.
