hey there,
i'm just trying to find out if there is much of a difference between the king springs and whiteline springs. i know that some ppl have said the king spring is quite firm and there is no real comprimise for comfort. haven't been able to find much on the whiteline springs. Has anyone tryed both or have experience with either?? thanks

Yeah have tried both of them and ended up with the kings
while being slightly firmer i found the car responded well with them
also the whiteline springs came down about 5mm more than the king to around 35mm, a little too low i think.
plus kings have lifetime warranty (agaist free height sag of more than 10mm)
hope that helps!

Kings aren't very good. I have a set in my 93 all they are is hard they have very bad response this makes dampening them difficult I wouldn't even consider buying a set of them without Koni shocks. In retrospect I would save a little longer and buy a set of coilovers. Do the job properly, you will see a set of Koni/Kings turn up on this site every other month with always the same reason coilover upgrade.

I have to agree. Kings are best matched with Koni's or other respectable damper adjustable shocks. I cannot imagine Kings with stock shocks, cos with my current King/Koni combo it's already a tad harsh on Melbourne roads.
From what I've heard, Whiteline's are more compromising that Kings as they are developed and built in Australia. This is from my two mates that have Whiteline/Koni combo's in their S13 and S15 Sils.

why would you run a h/duty spring with std shocks?
all after market springs are about 25% firmer than std springs
i agree Koni and King is a great package
coilovers are great if you choose the right one
(And thats not the best looking shiny ones)

I like KYB AGX's more than Koni's....about half the price too
If you go a Koni and insert_spring_name_brand_of_choice combo...you might as well go for coilovers as the price difference is minimal.
