hey there guys,

i've been trying to find some rims for my 92 red na6, looking at many a different style. Just wondering what size ppl are able to directly bolt on with out any modification. Size and width?

Thanks

Ant

p.s. some of the wheels i've been looking at are on this site...

well i have 17\" chromies.. 205/40's

(17 x 7)

and they are fine..

my cousin also has 18\" wheels fitted to an NA without any scrubbage!

Strongly suggest you stick to 14 x 6 or 15 x 7 max as you'll be dragging so much weight around with 17's and it'll look like a 4WD

Would having to run high pressures in 17\" tyres negate any handling advantages they may initially give?
I say this because I run 26 psi in my 14\"s and the ride is still rock hard.

17" tyres don't give ANY handling advantage.

If your wheels are much heavier than stock you'll get worse bump steer and tramlining.

My 15\" stockies are much more predictable and chuckable than my 17\" zigens.

Your car might look better but it could end up more dangerous on the limit and less fun to drive. :?

26 psi is low-ish. Something around 30s is common - I run 35 in my Susss-uki

26 psi is the factory specs and I also asked on here when I first bought the car and the general opinion was that this is correct.
The tyres are wearing nicely and the car handles brilliant :D

Largest size you can go would be 18\", but from a performance point of view no more than 16\" in a NA. I reckon 16\" is a good size if you lower it properly, which is exactly what I have done to my NA6.

16X7 with 35+ offset is what I have and no scrubbing , but I've heard of some people going to 8\" or something. Maybe someone here would know what's the maximum offset and width a NA can have without rolling guards.
