What size R888 for 15x7 rims?

Postby Li7hium » Tue May 01, 2007 3:48 pm

Well the old Toyos are starting to look more slick than semi slick now and I am looking at getting a set of R888s for club days and the Supersprints.

What size tyre should I get looking for? 195/55/15?

Any advice on this issue appreciated.

Thanks!

Matt

You can go to 205x50x15 with the 7\" rim or down to the 195x50x15s.

I think I'd stay away from the 55s due to more sidewall movement on the rim, bigger diameter and more weight.

Also the diameter of the 205x50s is less than the 195x55 tyre, faster acceleration out of those tight corners, though I shouldn't tell you that.

Thanks Craig and CB!

It turns out that the original size that I posted is out of stock Australia wide until some time in December.

Having a few places search for 205/15/15s for me.

Bev: With the amount of rims that I have already purchased from Craig, do you really think I need ANOTHER set?

:P

Sounds pretty good actually. I dread to think where I'm going to find the cash to replace mine when they die...
