The clubman Bilsteins are meant to have them arent they? I fitted a set of Bilsteins to a friend's R31 Passage on Saturday and the circlips were under the spring seat and were able to be adjusted on the car. Just took a wheel off my car and I cant see them, unless its on the lowest setting atm.... except it looks like the spring is tightly compressed already?

Not as standard - mine certainly didn't.
After-market/non-Clubman Bilsteins may have them, but not the ones that came with the Clubmans originally.

Ive just had original clubman bilstiens serviced and a new perch cut in 25 mm lower. Front just clears top wishbone when fully extended, rear i had to reset back to the original position as was hitting the shafts. If you want to lower using the existing shocks you will need new springs .The car does seem to handle ok with only the front lowered, mind you the new bushes and sway bars may be helping
