King springs...help identify them?

Hi guys,

I have a set of rear King springs that I'm considering purchasing fronts for, in order to be put to KYB AGX adjustables once my bank balance allows it :?

However I'm not sure what exactly I have so was looking forward to some help in identifying them.

The box just says Performance Replacement King Springs. The code on the spring says KMRL-53. From the online catalogue on the website it says that they are L (I'm assuming Lows) :?:

- Anyone have these installed?
- How much height drop do they give?
- Are they suitable for KYB AGX adjustables?

- Most importantly....should I use them? Or should I go for some of the Pro Sport Competition Coil Springs instead, which are progressive?

Cheers guys. Wouldn't be making the right choices without the forum and your input :|

hey mate...yeah...the normal LOWS work fine with the KYB's....the super lows do not work fine(so ive been told by LOU at straight talk suspension)...

this is the setup i have on my car and they are absolutely great.

they gave about a 2inch drop on my nb8b, which really is the perfect drop for compromise of looks and everyday driveability.

heres a quick pic to show you how low it is....

Thanks heaps, your car looks good too! :)

Are the Lows considered \"progressive\" at all?

I asked for the normal \"lows\" and got progressive springs... It is VERY low though (not a lot of shock travel).

What was the name on the box? Would you also still remember the product code on the springs?

Thanks Boagsy

Hey deez, thats the combo I am running, kyb agx with king lows. The part numbers are KMFL-52 for the front and KMRL-53 for the rear, and yes they are progressive, as well as being about 30% heavyier than std. I think they are great.

PS I got all ney geniune boots when I installed the shocks, I reckon they are the way to go.

Awesome, thanks for that info zoomzoom.

Does the AYB's not come with shock boots? Why the genuine boots may I ask?

no the kyb dont come with boots. I looked for every other option for boots and found the genuine ones were the only ones that will fit properly, I guess that figures since they are purpose made. :D

I just got them at my mazda dealer, I paid about $35 each but I reckon if you looked around for a bit you will probably find somwhere on the net or somwhere else to buy them cheaper?
