Hey guys.
I think i'll be needing new tyres in a few months.
I've got an alignment problem which is causing uneven tyre wear.
Do you think its better to:
1) Fix alignment now then get new tyres later (and not get another alignment) [current plan]
2) Wait till i get new tyres and then fix alignment?
3) Fix alignment now, get new tyres and then re-do alignment?
I can't think of a reason why I would need to get a new alignment JUST because I get new tyres.
Thanks.
Alignment Qtn - now or after?

no WAY i'd ever put new tyres on & NOT get a wheel alignment............as for your situation, depends on how much life is left in your current rubber & whether leaving it will actually shorten the life you have left...........it'd be either 2 or 3 for mine
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

dunno about THAT, but it's just good policy when you spend good $$ on new tyres, you want to get maximum life possible, & if your alignment is even out a smidge, it won't take long to show up in treadwear on new, soft tyres, & once tyres start to wear a particular way, it's very difficult to correct.....IF you go with 1, at least get the alignment checked when you do put the new tyres on

ahh icic. guess every little bit counts
i went and measured the tread again, i think i'll just wait till i get new tyres to get the alignment done...
3-4 mm all round. not long now!
So what's wrong with the tyres, as in how is it unevenly worn?
Cos a lot of times incorrect tyre pressure can influence uneven tyre wear, not just alignment.
