Std springs or aftermarket & dust boots

I have ordered the KYB AGX shocks from the renown seller on E-bay and they should be arriving very shortly. I am toying with the idea of changing the springs while I change the shocks. I have decided to keep the ride height the same due to clearance problems in some peoples drives! The question is, do I leave the standard springs in or do I change them (using Kings springs)
Also I read in the big forum that a lot of users change the dust boots while they change the shocks however the OEM boots are costly from Mazda as the bump stops are integrated in them. Do you just cut of the boot or is it worth buying the whole bump stop/boot? If it is worth buying a new bump stop/boot, a lot of people in the US rave about the FCM bump stops. Are they worth getting

The above is in regards to a 1990 MX-5 NA6 with 14\" Rims. All help appreciated
