SE Tyre and Suspension Upgrade

I've had the car 5 days and today it rained. The toyos understeered in the dry and really understeered in the wet so I thought I'd try my 16's to compare.
I put on 16's with Michelin PP2's, the transformation was amazing. The understeer vanished and the turn in sharpened 100%. I can't believe Mazda used toyos.

Has anyone else had similar experience :?:

Next week the tien coilovers go on though I suspect the difference won't be as extreem as the tyres. The standard Bilstiens seem to control the car pretty well.

The car is fantastic in every other department (Well maybe a bit lagy in the turbo department if I'm going to be picky) but that aside its awsome :D

I agree, the toyos suck! I binned them in favour of the Goodyear Revspec RS02 and they are much much better

Finally got the teins in. Wasn't expecting much change from the stock bilsteins but I'm pleasently surprised. The teins are much smoother and the car seem to sit a lot flatter.
It looks so much better lowered down a bit. :D

A warning about ride heights. Although it looks good lowered I managed to get stuck the other day. I would recomend leaving the teins at standard height after getting stuck on a bit of metal in a driveway. I now have a hole in my heat shield below the gearbox. Be warned

I'm curious to know, which Toyo's are they?

Not all toyo's can be tarred with the same brush though. T1-R's are great tyres.

Cannot get Revspecs in the UK or I'd have had them like a shot. What price are they for 205/40/17's?

The toyos are trampio. I'm sure TR1's are a lot better but Mazda didn't use them. What are revspecs?

Revspecs are Goodyear tyres; much better than the F1 on my Falcon Sprint.
