in the space of 1 week my tyres go from 29-31 psi down to 24-26 psi, they are kinda old looking and a bit cracked but the tread seems ok. im gettin tyred of pumping them up all the time.

any ideas? does the tyreshop just need to re-seal and revalve them?

Also,

I noticed Benny had some awesome semi-slick tyres on his SP mx5, any ideas how much these bad boys cost? i presume they dont last long?

What sort of wheels have you got?
Sometimes older alloy wheels oxidise under the tyres. This has been the case with the original mags on my 1990 NA6.
The solution to this problem is to remove the tyre and take a stiff brush to the wheel to remove the oxidisation. Then you need to refit tyre and rebalance.
Worked for me!

New valves and a valve tool will cost you bugger all, might be worth seeing if that fixes the problem.

Semi slicks will cost you an arm and a leg and will be shagged out pretty quickly on the street.

There are some pretty good road tyres, i'll show you how my T1-Rs go.

How old are the tyres? Are they worth keeping at all?

Follow this thread through to find out when they were made and how long they last.

Chuck a bit of spit over the top the tyre valves, if it starts blowing rasperries at you, then you know you a have leak.
