I need help again, just installed a whiteline adjustable front sway but the bolt is touching the shock, I've done something wrong I just need to know what it is! http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/1795/img0977al5.jpg

That looks wierd. I don't suppose you want to move the bolt to the other setting??

I have the Tein Flex as well, and a adjustable swaybar. But it does not hit. Are you sure you have the right swaybar for your model?....could it be mounted th wrong way up (if that were possible?)

You won't be able to use the stiffer setting on the swaybar, unless you have adustable end links.


I will try and have a look at my setup tonght when I get home.

Setup looks OK. I thought the link might be on the wrong side but you've done it right.

Mossy, it looks the arms on your new bar are too long, and therefore are rubbing on the damper body. I know that the NB bars are different, maybe that is what you have?

Thanks for the photos juffa, looks like i definetly have the wrong bar, this is going to be a PITA cause i have to remove the intercooler pipes to get it out and put another back in, I should get them to pay for the labour.

Does your adjustable bar have two or three holes?

I think my swaybar is a Selby. It has two holes. If the whiteline has three that would explain why the arms are longer. The body of the Tein Flex damper is wider than the OEM dampers. So the combination of longer swaybar arms and a larger damper body might not work?

Silly question, but is it the same on the other side? If the bar isn't central to the car it will be closer to one shock than the other

It should fit. My racecar has exactly that setup and it's fine. Wrong bar maybe or not central as Brad recommends? I would definitely suggest getting adjustable end links though as the bar should be parallel to the ground when the car is on the ground. The standard end links are a little long. They can also be bent to better fit.

Yep the same on the other side as well, I'm told its the right bar but racingbeat list different bars for na6 and na8 yet whiteline have one thru to nb, to me that says they must be different. Anyway I'm returning the whiteline bar and going with a racing beat non-adjustable, thanks for the help anyway.

Sorry to dig up and older thread but i just installed both my adjustible while line sway bars and in the process figured out i'd need adjustible end links to be able to adjust the sway bars. That or bend the endlinks everytime i wanna try a new setting which wouldn't be a good idea. Anyways i have no rubbing issues and the front can only be set to hard and the rear to middle.

Where can i get cheap endlinks?

I wasn't aware you needed adjustable end links. From all the pics I've seen they have used the OEM ones. Mania sell these but these are $175.

yea i saw the maina prices and was a bit put off, trying to find a cheaper option. Racing beat is 112 US for 4 of them. which if i budget 200US including shipping would make them AUS261.36 delivered. Bit better than maina.

I guess i could of bolted it through one of the other settings but it would put some serious strain through the endlinks joint and it would of taken a big amount of force to push the endlink far enough. Really need a ball joint on both ends, and adjustablility to tune the preload.
