Pillow ball upper mount

Postby Slugoid » Tue Jul 18, 2006 1:30 am

Are there any benefits in getting aftermarket pillow ball upper mounts? Like these:

Or just a waste of money?

Better suspension response.. also adjustable for camber (and some also caster).

Cant see much advantage for a 5 as the shock/spring only goes up & down (double A arm) not rotating like a strut. All the camber and caster adjustment is done with the eccentric mounting of the bushes.

As for response; maybe a very slight difference as the standard top mount has some rubber in it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Andrew. :)

Might give a bit better response, but I doubt you'd be able to pick it. Pointless with OEM bushings or shocks/springs still in place.

Might give a beesdick more bump travel?
