broken valve on tyre

this might seem like a silly question but...

ok so i got a half flat tyre driving from lane cove to rockdale on saturday night.

I pulled into a servo to see i f i could just refill it to limp home. I took off the cap and found that the valve did not have the tiny metal centre piece that sticks up in the centre of the valev ( the exact name for this part of valve im not sure).

therefore i could not re inflate.

so my question is, providing this is the only problem with the tyre (which otherwise has only about 3000 ks on it and is in cood cond) can the valve just be replaced?

cheers
Ben

Probably, yeah.

Just pop into your local tyre shop - should only take them 10 minutes to replace the valve.

Simple to change - go to a servo or repco etc, buy some new tyre valves. Hoist ur wheel up like u would if u were to change the wheels. Unscrew the old valve, screw in a new one, re-inflate ur tyre....generally best if you do this at the servo thought :P

Don't you hate it when you leave your nuts behind and have to buy new ones or borrow some instead?????
