Hey everyone,
I am looking at getting a new set of wheels for my MX5, and the ones that i have liked for about 2 years now are Konig Rewinds..
I have managed to photoshop a set onto my car.
They only come in 15\" x 7\"..
What are peoples opinions on the look? I think they look pretty neat
Also manged to get pictures of them on other Mx5's

OI!
Seriously though on the NA they look majorly tasty! Look easy to clean too which is a bonus!

Look very nice Ryan. I am also partial to the rims that Peter C (PCMX5) has on his '97 LE.

I think the Konig's look great but I understand they don't come in anything like the right offset at the moment.
My Chapparals are 15x7 38 mm offset with 54.1 centre bore.
They now have them in gold and gunmetal.
.
They cost $149 US each and about $330 US postage.
If you so not have to pay duty etc( apparently the rules have changed) thats $1286 Aus landed.
I got caught for duty but the dollar was much stronger (around 80 cents, not 73 as it is now)
RSpeed were great to deal with.
I love the wheels and certainly get plenty of positive comments.
Peter.

AFAIK the Rewinds come in 2 offsets, +40 and zero. The ones on the MX5s above would be the +40 offset, and the zero offset ones would require guard flares since they would stick out 15mm from the body!
Here's a set of the zero offset Rewinds on a friend's car.

I've got a set of very light multipiece Watanabe RS8's in 15x6.5 +34 that I'd sell. Theyre 4x114.3 but could have the opposing corners drilled to take 4x100 to make them multistud

the 40mm offset rewinds look really girly compared to the zero offset ones, They just arent as agressive looking.
I wonder if you could get a professional wheel repairer to shave some more off the zero offsets to bring them in more to say, something like 15-20mm offset?????
There is a company called arrow wheels that make a minilight style wheel that a lot of Lotus seven racers use, 3 piece wheels made to order
its called the arrow light:

Just remembered I got a quote a couple of months ago for some Panasports; 15x7 $395 delivered to Geelong;16x7$455.
The 16's may be the answer for some guys;none in stock but I think you can order just about any offset you need.

Dunno about machining
that much off the centre. My own minilites are +14 offset and if you machined that much off the middle there would be hardly anything left!
