Rebuilding Bilsteins

It seems you can get Bilstieins rebuit like Konis (I have a Clubman with I'd guess the original shocks on it) - can they be rebuilt?
Who'd do it and how much would it cost?
I am in Brisbane.

Fulcrum in Moorooka & Stafford rebuild them apparently, from what i was reading on the Bilstein website yesterday David.........hope that helps

Cost is about $260/set excluding any labour to get them in or out of the car. They can also revalve them at the same time to better suit our roads.

I've been thinking of doing this for a while with my Bilstieins (Sydney Shocks are a similar price) but kept asking myself "Is it worth doing this given the cost?" Surely is it better to simply replace them with something else?

Sydney Shocks are the national distributor for Bilstein.........why replace them when they can be rebuilt just as good, in fact better if i read right, they can adjust the valving to suit what you want

It's what I would of done if I didnt want adjustability, that's why I'm going Tein SS.

Brad, you can actually get a degree of adjustment into the Bilstein bodies, but they will have to go to someone like Murray Coote. Adjustment will be via a screw on the body. Only problem with Murray is trying to fit it into his schedule, with rally cars and V8 Supercars taking up a lot of time.

David - yes you can get them rebuilt and revalved (mine or shortened as well to suit the lower springs, and perch/platform raised to give back some rideheight). Definitely worth doing.
