My tyres are OEM Bridgestone Turanzas - I like 'em so I'll get something similar when new ones are needed :)

Come on guys, us newbies haven't gone thru all the COWs yet!

Personally I've only tried the G3's from your list and think they're above average at best. My pick for street driving is Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, can't think of a tyre with more wet weather grip, very good in the dry. These tyres stick so hard on my rex that at EC skidpan days I find it hard to unsettle the car and get the back to flick around cones ... so I now use Azenis RT215s for wet skidpan days!

the RT215 are far too good for every day street use.... and wear rate is rather high.....

Eagle F1 - my bro has tried them on his old PUG nothing special - ok at best - i think G3 would probably out perform the F1s

G3s or C-Drive Yokies will be fine for all round road driving.

have a look at http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=MP

You'll see that there are a few Eagle F1's on the market, the ones I'm talking about are on the top of that list. Are you sure your brother was using the GS-D3's?

Having used both Potenza G3 and Eagle F1 GS-D3 I can easily say the Goodyear is in a different league to the Bridgestone.

they have great wet traction but doesnt beat bridgestones anywhere else - although g3 aint in that category - its like comparing my RE540s with RT215 - there is no comparision in the dry.....
