They do directly bolt up. However, much easier getting tabs welded on yours I would have thought. Either way your going to need to get the car right off the ground for a start. To change the cradle you've got to pull the driveshafts, diff, undo all the brake lines, handbrake cables etc. That's hours of work. Welding on a few tabs is literally an hour or two max. 8)

well im hoping to get a full nb rear end for a 1.8 diff change so i thought may as well do the lot , will get it all rebuilt before i do it as well, since im waiting till i get used to driving the car fast before i get all excited and do the full 1.8 conversion thing and knowing me it will be with a turbo :).

depending on how old & used your current suspension is. the added value would be that you are getting fresher bushings with the NB subframe.

i suppose it all depends how mutch one of those rear subframe costs may save a lot of work in the process

well there is nothing wrong with the current suspension but it would be nice to have all the bushings done again they are 15 yrs old after all (1989 car) though they dont seem to be stuffed, will get all the arms ect powder coated to have a nice shiny rear end would be good.
