Flared Guards
Anyone fitted flared guards to their MX5? If so what did you use?
Cheers

Nopro in Japan have the fully sikest flares for NBs Brian. I'd get them but I'd have to widen my trailer!!!!!

And that's not the widebody kit!

I am guessing you are looking to fit bolt on flares, rather than flaring the guard. JAK has SLR type things on one end, and RX3 I think on the other. Looks OK from far, but the arc doesn't quite match the MX5 and he is looking for others, the leading edge doesn't sit well at all. This is to clear a 220 on 8inch, with a lot more track than stock.

Tuckin99 make some understated flares for NB, only $560 a set ex-Japan. I think Rdst3r managed to source some Tuckin99 parts via www.jdmyard.com.au so I'd imagine that they should be able to sort out a set of Tuckin flares for you also.
BTW Tuckin also do some drool-tastic flares for NA:

...as well as the huge old N2 Mazdaspeed flares for NA:

If we end up doing a group buy I think I'd be in for a set of the smaller NA flares

Hmm shades of the SLR (all it needs is a bright orange paint job and a twin system
). Yes they are a bit fully sik but I like em though.

98 NB8A, Mania CAI, Eibachs and Bilsteins, Whiteline brace, Starcorp's, DBA Slotted and asstd bling, FM butterfly brace. FFS coldside and the whiiiinnne. Now 138rwkw (Glory Run
) More with tuning.

Sounds pretty
Yea i figured a BFH would get that kind of result, but if you were to roll it with a section of piping (pipe held in hand and sitting ontop of tyre then car is rolled back and fourth to get the desired effect) it could produce a better/smoother flare?
I'd still prefer a set of tuckin flares but that would require cutting of the stock ones so the tyres dont rub, cause if your getting flare you need massive width/offset to fill them up, right!
Just not too keen on the huge price tag i'm expecting
I might see if some local shops have anything similar or that would coomplement the 5 well. Seen some hot flares on an AE86 from streeter by streeter i belive.
I'll let everyone know if i get around to it.

Just resurrecting this dead thread... who's interested in purchasing some flared guards?
