Yes... garry has said numerous times they are the bee-knees....

He hasn't said how much he paid for them...

Emailed 3 local tyre shops; only one came back and it is $245/corner for 205/45R16... :frown:

Falken RT/215 semi slicks 195/50R15 $100 each new :)

Got these off a bloke who needed to lower his gearing and was swapping to 14s. They still have the sticker on them. Good value at about half price!

I have heard they are not as good as Yoko A023Rs or the toyo R888? Can anyone advise?

I've heard that they're really noisy.

They're also not R-comps so not comparable to either of those tyres.

Great price though! Absolute steal!

The GIII's are on their way out now aren't they?

I remembered a thread on here a few months ago where the Bridgestone guys were planning on releasing the adrenalins for the 14" but that isn't happening until August :?

I plan to have the GIII's fitted within 2 weeks. So far they look like they are still available and that is here in WA. Priced at $146ea so far.....

$146ea is excellent value I paid $195ea when I bought my car in Sydney but that was almost 2 years ago and thought that was good.

Boags if GIII's are still available in Brisbane and you want to drive a NB8B with stock rims and GIII's contact me.
I'm very happy with them 8)
I even have a spare GIII which I am willing to sell.

Try Doug at QR. Hercules - cheap and very grippy from all accounts and about $125 per corner.

I just had a session trying to run down Chris and his GIII-shod little green machine at Sandown. Running downhill through the chicanes into Dandenong he's on 2 wheels over the curbs, almost flat in 4th and he's still giving it to her. No lockups at the bottom. For street tyres they've got a bloody amazing amount of grip.

How did they look, I didn't get a chance to look at them...?

My PP2s started getting a little hairy after a few laps, they get too hot and get slippery after a while.

Does that imply that the wet grip is better than the dry grip?

Meanwhile, whilst I'm here, how are people with RE001's finding them in the wet in Sydney, what with all this rain lately? I'm definitely buying a set soon, but I still wouldn't mind hearing opinions about them.

I have not noticed any issues in the dry - nor have I noticed anything at all - so I have to remain Neutral.
I have however noticed that the grip in the wet (especially over last few days of torrential rain and slippery roads that the performance in the wet is fantastic - so I have indicated as much.

I have found my re001s to have pretty good wet grip, not quite as good as the toyo t1r but they are much, much firmer in the sidewall than the toyos.
