Bootz, not sure will check when I can. They are also made in Japan and wheels and tyres cost less than other 6+kg wheels alone.

Boots, not forged. Not surprised considering they cost $1,000 new, wheels and tyres. Weight is confirmed at 4.6kg.

Logo is definitely Stamford Sport Wheels, which from memory are made in Thailand.

Edit: Yep, S212 Tuning Black by the looks of things

Jeo, you are correct. Plant is in Thailand. I thought Japan as they say Japan made on wheels. SSW site says certified or some bs by Japan blah blah blah.
I still love them and find them to be awesome value for money and much better than the big ugly chrome wheels that were on the car when I bought it.

That's still seriously good value for such a light wheel.

Thanks Paul, I agree.
I also like the 2 inch (approx) lip.

The reason for my post was to show you guys my wheels and their value in my opinion.
If you don't believe me then I don't care. I'm not selling these wheels and I get no profit from passing any info on. Feel free to do your own research :)

Speed I think people are just trying to establish if you have put them on scales or are you repeating the 'blurb'?

Can you throw one of the wheels on to a set of scales? With/without tyre does not matter as long as you say what size tyre.

Still makes little sense to me. If you are not prepared to trust a distributor, then why would you trust a forum member that is still a complete stranger?
If it helps, I'll pull a wheel off and weigh it when I have the time.

Saying that my priority this weekend is to fit a complete exhaust and continue doing home reno's.

What I can offer is that the SSW's were much lighter, maybe less than half the weight of the ugly chrome 17s that came off my car but they had 205/40/17s (not 195/50/15).

If you are patient enough, I will come through with your request.

Cheers,
S

People are interested in these wheels and the weight is a priority. They want the weight confirmed by someone who has very little conflict of interest.

In response to the above quotes.

I have just weighed one of my wheels with tyre on it.
Wheel with tyre (195/50/15) weighs 14kg.

If the tyre weighs 9.4kg then the wheel is 4.6kg
Even if the tyre was to only weigh 9kg then they are still a light weight wheel at 5kg.

I hope that clarifies things and I apologise for being a little grumpy earlier. I really thought that people were yanking my chain and wanting me to just waste my time.

Personally I don't like black wheels but my options were black or red.
Now that I've done further research, I've found that they also come in a grey colour, which I would have preferred.

They are growing on me and as I've said before, I like the lip and the light weight. :)
