Thread resurrection. Did anyone end up making a set of these stands or find anything that was available locally for a reasonable price? Seems like something that would be useful. (Not sure how often I would use them though) but I do need to make some adjustments to my coilovers and then do a wheel alignment and am thinking of DIYing

Not yet, and I won't be coming back to it until the New Year at this point.

I am going to investigate a string setup, and depending on how that goes I may come back to this.

Making a set is on my list of things to do over the holidays. Hopefully I can give some feedback in 2014.
