Thanks for the info Hellmun! I've just brought myself a set of these in 215/45R17 for my NC along with a set of Sway Bars.
Has anyone got any hints on ideal pressures for NT01's on the NC? Reading up on other forums for NC's and different cars around 35psi hot seems to be the consensus but I thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience or thoughts?

And your suspension settings will have a big impact.
I ran Toyo R888s 205x50x15 (same compound as Nittos ?) on Britney (NA6 1600) with coil-overs, 2.5 degrees -ve and sway bars and they worked well at 32 psi hot (best of 1.13.5 at WP).
Guran tried them on his NA6 with stock suspension and he hated them and never got them to work, so presumably the stock suspension could not get them to work or they were a bad batch.
I always bedded tyres in, but still found the first track day they were slippery, but improved each track-day as they wore down.

too much pressure and new tyre surface probably played a huge part.
you already figured out the pressure bit.
with my new tyres, even r spec ones, i like to drive around on them for a week to scrub off the crappy manufacturers surface. but you have to be picky on the roads you take.

Thanks for the tips, I've been driving it round a bit on the street trying to get the top layer off. Since I'm going to be driving them down to Wakefield on the 21st hopefully that scrubs it off a bit more too.
The one thing I have picked up on is how noisy they are, the RS3's on my Evo don't even get close! The price was right though so I can't complain.
Going to spinning wheel to have the alignment done and the brakes bled on Wednesday. Hopefully I won't have a similar experience to Guran when I get to the track.

I recently changed my well worn R888s for the NT01s. My first run on them was at the Eastern Creek Supersprint yesterday.
For my driving style and car set up I found 31-32 psi hot was ideal. This was measured back in the pits as soon as I pulled up, so actual hot pressure on track may have been a bit higher.
I also had the car corner balanced and aligned so everything was spot on and this resulted in a surprising 5 second drop in my PB; although the weather and track conditions were almost ideal yesterday as well.
I obviously can't say how much was due to the Nittos, however after giving them one medium-slow session to scrub in they were great. Much more grip than the R888s, with a crisper turn in (although this could have been due to the alignment too). I just hope they will last as long as the R888s.
For reference these were 205/50x15 tyres on 7.5" rims.

I swapped to NT01s after a few sets of R888s (all 205/50s) and found a similar incremental improvement in grip.
As for your question of longevity, i averaged 10 sprint days out of the R888s. The first set of Nittos did 11 events before I corded them, and the last set I just replaced did 14 events, and would have done at least one more if I hadn't 360'd at turn 1 at island and flat spotted 2 of them. Grip was consistent right throughout tyre life..

Thanks for all the previous advice. I thought I'd contribute after my first two track days on them. As recommended 32psi hot measured after coming into the pits straight after a hot lap was optimum for me.
I was happy with them at 32psi hot but to experiment I put another 3psi into them when they were cooled down to see if it made a difference but I seemed to have trouble getting heat into them (after a full session they only got up to 33psi) so I figured ~32psi hot was good enough for me.
