dont drive a commo, cannot comment. i only switch wheels and tyres on cars that have poly bushes and aggressive alignments. as these track related cars need more tyre switches.

unevenly worn tyres switched with equally unevenly worn tyres wont change alignment.
evenly worn tyres switched with unevenly worn tyres will change alignment.
