I take the machine shop suggestion back. I'd never had anything to do with you on this forum before now. Realistically, if you took your suspension part to a machine shop and spoke to them about it then I suspect they'd soon begin to start thinking about how they might sabotage it for you.

Pry the threads straight with a rusty old spoon.
