probably repeating what others said but quibbling about a few dlrs is not worth the effort. You would be best to source locally and always try Bursons to see what they have to offer. You get a warranty locally as well. Another one to try is Bearing Wholesalers. Support locals- of course - that's you and I - only go o./s where it really makes sense. Incidentally businesses like Bursons get stock fast - often same day.

That comment "supporting local industry" is becoming less relevant everyday as we become a global economy with the power to buy/sell anywhere. But keep holding onto that dream. I'm getting better/friendlier service online than in person these days. Sad but true.

The further we move from purchasing stuff from home the more people with attitudes like yours will whinge as the local costs rise, if distributors can't make money selling it they will become virtual distributors. Demand better deals here and not just from the traders but from the Government as well!
Gregory.
I know that I have said this before, we need to stop propping up Australian manufacturers, liken it to a new puppy, if you carry it around for ever it will never walk on it's own. WAKE UP AUSTRALIA! 87% of our GNP is something that we cannot drop on our foot. We are safe but we are F#$K&^!
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

sorry but I agree with vrrmm.. Its no where near that simple. We have high costs in this country to support our way of life and things now taken for granted. Like the dole OHS etc etc. Anyone done any reading or seen how the overseas suppliers are operating. It's in our interests to support the local businessman and respecting that they are not there just ripping us off. Making a purchasing decision is not just about $$- that is only part of it. If you do not support local business we will all pay the penalty. perhaps one day when "they" want to build a high rise "they" bring in contract labour from overseas and forget about conditions- who does the building in the ME super rich countries- the locals?
