Yep, my understanding also, so may be buy a cheap set of Bilsteins (bought a set recently for $100) & get them revalved.

Much easier to revalve koni then bilstien as the Bilstien are gas charged and fewer people play with them.

Konis are really really easy to re valve and completely rebuild able (my uncle used to rebuild a set of 4 in just over an hour).

Bilstien shocks run not linear valving which allows better control with good ride.
