is there a way of working out dynamic camber?

Another Alignment Question
A very crude approximation:
At a hypothetical 90deg of caster (so wheel axis is parallel to road) 1 deg of steering angle would give 1 deg additional of neg camber.
At 0deg caster (wheel axis is straight up/down) 1 deg steering would give 0 deg additional camber.
chg'd to 45deg caster would give 0.5deg extra neg for each 1 deg of steering angle.
therefore caster/90 X steering deg = extra neg camber...
Eg 5 deg caster would give 1/18 of a degree of extra neg for each degree of steering angle.
Actual would be a little more difficult, as things like body roll, tyre distortion, ackerman angles?, amongst others would affect the true figures..

High caster would give more negative camber as the wheel is turned (dynamic camber) so should give less understeer not more...
I think it will depend on what the extra camber is doing to the tyre contact patch, increasing or decreasing it. As you said, there are many other factors in the mix too.
I run a little over 4 deg caster with 1.5 deg camber on the front with good results on my sprint car. Basically as CT says, max camber with more than 4 deg caster.
