Keep the comments coming folks. At this stage I am still considering these as a way to give me a way to corner-weight the car, but I won't be getting them if the spring rates aren't in the ball park. I still haven't got an answer from the seller, so I'm totally in the dark about details at the moment.

At the time I was doing alot of research into a suspension setup and spent alot of time on miatanet and clubroadster. The threads were somewhere in there. I was pretty much after independant height control as well so I had a look at these as well as ground control but decided in the end to do it properly with a full adjustable coilover. The problem is that one person can say they are very harsh and another person can say they are only a little bit harsh and you don't know whose opinion to take but the general concensus with these is that they work but are very harsh. On top of that I was worried about longevity as well. They look great in the pics but there are a couple of different spring construction methods that are used with some being better than others. Also I took into account the fact that they may have skimped on the quality of the metal used (dad always says you get what you pay for). There were just no long term reports yet about how they hold up quality wise and with the lack of information they quickly got axed from my shortlist.

if so, that is a very very very VERY stiff spring.

(only working with front shocks here)

ok so I have had a play around with the kit which sits on a step just above where the stock spring sits and is held on with grub screws...

The issue I found was that if you have the shock lowered there was not much travel in the shock because the spring that comes with it is so short.

I wanted the car to sit lower so decided to look for a shock that had a shorter body......

I got a new pair of 300zx shocks for $100, which are a fair bit shorter in the body, now with the coilover wound all the way down the car basically sits on the ground, looks really cool. Hopefully it will do the job weith no issues but all up has cost me about $250 for the pair and I have the spares for the rear.

The springs dont seem to stiff, I can still bounce the front end up and down a bit...
